  • The treatment involves several injections of Botox into specific muscles around your head and neck which target the root cause of migraine pain.

This targeted approach helps inhibit the release of neurotransmitters in strategic areas, blocking them from activating pain receptors, so that migraines aren't triggered as easily.

The nerves in our head and neck will become less sensitized to trigger migraines with the pain receptors being continuously blocked, leading to longer periods of relief.

  • Each patient requires an initial 15-minute consultation, where we’ll first develop a customized treatment plan tailored to your needs and determine the best injection points to maximize migraine relief.

After that, Botox injections will be administered to targeted areas of the head and neck in around 20 minutes.

  • While some patients feel relief within the first month, treatments are usually needed every 12 weeks to keep migraines under control.

With the cumulative effects of Botox, many patients may eventually experience significant long-term relief, potentially reducing or completely eliminating the need for further treatments over time.

  • Many insurance plans cover Botox for chronic migraines because it's deemed “medically necessary”.

To understand your specific coverage, including copayments and deductibles, it's important for you to check with your healthcare and insurance provider.
